Colin Meloy Sings Live!
..................is the first live album released by Portland musician Colin Meloy, frontman for the Decemberists. The album was released in April 2008, and is a collection of live recordings from various nights on the artist's solo tour in early 2006.

It includes stripped down versions of songs by the Decemberists, a song that dates back to Meloy's college band Tarkio ("Devil's Elbow"), live banter and covers of The Smiths, Fleetwood Mac, and Shirley Collins.

Skeletal Lamping .........is the title of the ninth studio album by Athens, Georgia-based band of Montreal. Kevin Barnes said about the title:

"This record is my attempt to bring all of my puzzling, contradicting, disturbing, humorous...fantasies, ruminations and observations to the surface, so that I can better dissect and understand their reason for being in my head. Hence the title, Skeletal Lamping. Lamping is the name of a rather dreadful hunting technique where hunters go into the forest at night, flood an area in light, then shoot or capture the animals as they panic and run from their hiding places."

Quienes son estos???

Thievery Corporation es un dúo estadounidense compuesto por Eric Hilton & Rob Garza. Su música está entre trip-hop y acid jazz, enriquecida por multitud de influencias: música brasileña, percusión latina, dub y reggae jamaicano, pop francés, música popular india (con el sitar a la cabeza), electrónica y jazz. Se trata de un trip-hop que tiene poco que ver con el de otros dúos maestros como Air o Kruder & Dorfmeister, aunque las tres formaciones coinciden en un aspecto: su música no es apta para las pistas de baile.

Los álbumes del dúo estadounidense son más propicios para la escucha doméstica, a ser posible sentado en el sillón más cómodo de casa o tumbado en la cama, con los ojos cerrados o la luz apagada. Son viajes sonoros en los que la música y la imaginación del oyente se alían para crear exóticos paisajes sonoros. Un trip-hop, en definitiva, apto para un público relativamente amplio (llevan más de un millón de copias vendidas), pero sin perder un ápice de calidad.
